Privacy policy

Last updated: August 5, 2026

The short version: Study Hub has accounts so your progress can follow you between devices. We store your email, the name you choose, and your study progress — nothing else. No ads, no analytics, no trackers, and we never sell anything. You can invite a parent to view your progress read-only, and remove their access at any time.

What we collect

When you create an account we store exactly four things:

That is the entire list. We do not ask for your age beyond a 13-or-older confirmation, your school, your address, your location, or your phone number.

Where it is stored

Your account and progress are stored in a Cloudflare D1 database, and a copy is cached in your own browser so the app stays fast and works offline. Everything travels over an encrypted (HTTPS) connection. Signing in sets one session cookie that is strictly necessary for the site to work — it is not used for tracking.

Sharing with a parent

A student can generate an invite code and share it with a parent. When the parent redeems that code, they can see that student’s progress read-only — they can never change the student’s work, and they never see the student’s password. Nobody can view a student’s progress without a code that student generated and shared. A student can remove a parent’s access at any time from the Profile page, and it takes effect immediately.

Who else can see it

Nobody. We do not sell, rent, or share your data, and the site carries no third-party trackers or advertising. The only people who can see a student’s progress are that student and any parent they have explicitly invited.

Also kept on your device

To remember your progress between visits, the app saves data in your browser's local storage — a private area of your own browser. That includes:

This local copy is a cache of what is in your account, so the app works offline and feels instant. Clearing your browser data removes the copy on that device; your account keeps your progress.

Google Classroom import

If you import assignments, you do it by exporting a calendar file from Google Classroom and choosing that file yourself. The file is parsed entirely in your browser — Study Hub never connects to your Google account and never asks for your Google password. The assignments it produces become part of your study data, so like the rest of your progress they sync to your account.

Cookies and tracking

Study Hub sets no tracking cookies, runs no analytics, and includes no advertising or third-party tracking scripts. There is no profile of you being built anywhere.

Requests the app does make

Like most websites, the page loads a couple of shared resources from public content-delivery networks: the interface library (React) from unpkg.com, and fonts from Google Fonts (fonts.googleapis.com and fonts.gstatic.com). Requesting a file from any web server reveals your device's IP address and browser to that server, as a normal part of how the web works. We send no personal data — not your name, progress, or assignments — to these or any other services.

Children

Study Hub is intended for students aged 13 and older, and creating an account requires confirming that. We deliberately collect as little as possible — an email, a chosen name, and study progress — so that there is very little to hold. If you believe a child under 13 has created an account, email us and we will delete it.

Your control

You are always in control of your data because it lives with you: export a backup whenever you like, and delete everything by clearing your browser's storage for this site. Uninstalling is simply closing the tab.

Changes and contact

If this policy changes, the date above will change with it. Questions about privacy can go to info@studywyz.com.
